Who even cares about the A-listers these days? The movie star system is well on its way out anyway much thanks to cable TV and its abundance of true talent with a measure of dignity.
Cillian's not alone in his standing - the truly worthwhile actors are all in the middle-tier range or lower as they're not starry types. You have to dig for them like buried treasures.

He's listed as 5'8 on celebheights which is usually extremely accurate. That's on the shorter side of average for a man.

Why? He looks short but it's not that important. Many actors are and there are ways to hide that fact if necessary. He wouldn't be the first to stand on a box. It's all about pretending anyways.

I've met Cillian Murphy and was a little shocked at how short he is. I'm 5'10, 125 pounds and I swear I had more muscle mass then Cillian, the man came up to my chest, and his arms looked as skinny as mine, I know it's hard for you to believe that one of your favorite actors is so short, but facts are facts. The man is short he's 5'6 he's shorter then Tom Cruise who is 5'7 so sorry to burst your bubble.
By the way pictures and tv and movie screens make actors look much bigger then they really are in real life. I've seen every movie Cillians been in I'm a big fan of his but facts are facts the man is short and very very thin no muscle definition at all. Its good he has looks because his body is more of a teenagers body.

No he is not 5'6. He looks average in height which is around 5'9 for a man.
He238 is slight in build perhaps (though in the photo below he looks lean and strong) but not in height.

I don't think Red Lights was very good. But I found his character interesting. Same goes for Red Eye. He's better than his films.

He's one of my favourite actors but I don't think he stands out too much.
