Tom Hardy is probably my favorite actor today. I recently watched "Legend" with his portrayal of the Kray twins and couldn't help but notice the similarities to the Shelby family.
Obviously the time period and location are different, but it got me thinking about how brilliant Cillian is in Peaky Blinders!! We all know this. But even Tom Hardy's portrayal of an East End gangster pales in comparison. Cillian changed his accent, his voice, his whole demeanor and he completely dissolves into the role. I think he could've starred in Legend and turned the film on its head.
While Tom is talented and charismatic, Cillian has a performance that just draws you in. He really is totally underrated as an actor and I wish his work in Peaky Blinders would get more recognition.
