Cillian Murphy could pass as the younger brother, or, the son the American actor, Everett McGill, now retired. Both have similar facial structure and features.
I really like both actors, Cillian Murphy and Everett McGill. Both are talented men that put real 'depth' into their acting skills.
When I look at Cillian Murphy's face, I think, how does a guy with Cro-Magnon features still come out looking handsome? He's got the deep-set eye sockets and pronounced brow ridges, all facial features associated with Neanderthal man and Cro-Magnon man but long since evolved out of homo sapiens. Still it looks like guys here and there these days still carry the features. Cillian is luckier than McGill. In spite of all that, people think he's good-looking.

Saw him up close once, he has a huge head and incredibly piercing eyesfeatures that makes for an amazing presence on a big scree.

Neanderthals and Cro Magnons are 2 different species. Cro Magnons are modern humans like humans are today while Neanderthals are a different subspecies that modern humans have interbred with.
