Keira Knightly is the bigger star because she looks like Keira Knightly.

Looks are of course in the eye of the beholder and same with acting talent. To me Kiera is better looking. Her smile is so dazzling it can flat out stop my heart. Acting I would give the nod to Kiera again. I happen to love them both.

I think you're right. I'm sure there's constant competition among actors for limited jobs, but sabotage is a conspiracy theorist's idea.
I would add that Parminder Nagra is every bit as lovely as Keira Knightly, and that Parminder is a far superior actor.

This is beyond idiotic. Kiera auditioned for and got the roles she got. Parminder auditioned for and got the roles she got. There was no sabotage.

Lets be frank, Kiera is a blue-eyed blonde haired actress and it is what Hollywood wants and it is easier to get roles when ones coloring is such and beautiful Parminder is of Indian descent. I believe there are more roles for the blue-eyed blonde actress than beautiful Parminder, just saying. But I do think Parminder is a wonderful actress in her own right. No, I'm not being racist, it is the truth.

Exactly what I thought. I thought Parminder was incredible on the Blacklist. This is the only explanation I can come to for her not doing so well generally. It was a real loss when they killed her off at the end of season 1.

I doubt very much that Keira sabotaged Parminder's career, I think it's just that it's more difficult to get decent roles if you're a non-white actress.

Wikipedia cites the director's commentary for the first Pirates movie, saying that Keira auditioned for the role and he hadn't seen Bend It Like Beckham when he picked her. Parminder may not have ended up a box office star like Keira, but she was on ER for 6 years, that's gotta count for something, right?
