No more 'The Good Wife' for me. Noth called the Tea Party 'racist' and 'un-American' without citing one piece of evidence to support his slanders. So now it is 'un-American' to disagree with plunging the nation into more debt, to disagree with a health care takeover that is destroying family finances nationwide and asking that the government only spend what they take in.
I know, actors are not the brightest bulbs in the cupboard, but since it was Senator Obama who said raising the debt limit while Bush was in office was 'unpatriotic' how can those who are attempting the same thing be 'un-American'? Huh, Mr. Noth? Silence? Bueller?
And once again if you hold views opposite the administration you are 'racist', according to Professor Noth. Why these overpaid parrots always sink to this level is unexplainable but it's the only ammunition they think they have. Obama is black you disagree with him you are racist. Simple-minded and disturbed? You bet.
So, for my liberal friends, yes, Mr. Noth has freedom of speech. We all know that. But he can emote and act and prance around all he wants but I won't be there to watch anymore.

I like Chris Noth, and always have. He's a terrific actor who helped make
Law & Order
a hit series in the 1990s. Aside from that, I knew little about him until I looked him up here.
Frankly, I don't care what Noth's racial views are. I agree with his politics in that the Tea Party has major ideological problems, such as their opinions about women's rights, the military, gay marriage and the environment. Right-wing Republicans scare me. They scared me enough to vote for Mr. Obama twice.
That being said, I voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 primary (she won our state). At the time of Obama's sudden appearance out of nowhere in the presidential race, I didn't think he was capable of running the country. He had no experience and no platform to run on except "Change." His supportersChris Matthews and Keith Olbermann among the loudestfed on their own WASP guilt and chose to support him over Clinton, who was clearly more presidential than Obama. In states that Clinton won during the primary, delegates were essentially forced by the media to hand their electoral votes to Obama (my state did likewise), literally stealing the presidency from Hillary Clinton. It was corruption, pure and simple, that put Barack Obama in the White House.
So, I am no fan of Obama, his broken promises regarding Afghanistan, his trans-Canadian pipeline and fracking, or his health care plan (I can't afford a $6,000 deductiblehighway robbery!). He seems closer to the GOP than he is to his own party, which may account for his strangely passive attitude towards events like the government shutdown by the Republican-run House.
If Chris Noth is still a hard-line Obama fan, he can't see the forest for the trees, but he's right about one thing: the alternativea Tea Party candidateis much, much worse.

That's the way Hollywood is. It's full of the liberal elite. What can WE do about it ? We can refuse to watch their shows

See, that's the difference between Liberals and us Conservatives.
For Liberals, only they have freedom of speech, we are to be silenced.
This is all nutty, I wouldn't
ever
want you silenced. I love following your threads where you call people
retarded
and tell them to shut up and get out, and them complain that you're being silenced.
Please don't let them silence you.
But I do agree, how logical is it to abandon an entire series produced by hundreds of people because 1 cast member voices an objectionable viewpoint? Are the producers to blame for this? And is the entire crew to be punished by efforts like this for a boycott because of an actor's political beliefs? Wacky.
I think I saw the pilot of The Good Wife, and never returned b/c we just can't watch everything. My impression is this is an entirely different show now from the first season, is that right? Like more cut-throat political and corporate soap opera.

We agree that Liberals have freedom of speech and so do we. But we also expect they take
responsibility for the repercussions
of said speech.
