Whenever Operation Petticoat is shown on TV, I always make sure to watch it. And, the main reason is Joan O'Brien (the movie is pretty good as well). She is great and obviously beautiful. I only wish she had been in more movies.
If you have a chance to see her in Operation Petticoat or any of her other movies, do so. I have not heard her singing voice, but if it is half as good as she looks and comes across on screen, she must be fantastic.
I was really surprised not to see more messages for Ms. O'Brien. I saw the one for her birthday and hope she is okay and doing well.

I was watching part of OPERATION PETTICOAT this morning, and seeing her in close quarters with Cary Grant in the submarine, I thought: "Watch out, Cary! She'll poke your eyes out with those things!"

She had a very good singing voice, which she put to good use on an episode of
The Dick Van Dyke Show
.

I have to concur with the above sentiments that she was indeed beautiful and talented.

I'm also mystified that there are not several strings of messages here for this blonde hottie. I really enjoyed her role in "It Happened at the World's Fair" and in various TV appearances from many of my all time fave shows including Bat Masterson, Surfside Six, and Perry Mason.
