I grew up in Katy and graduated from Katy High. We forget when the Renees lived in Katy it was still relativley small. It was growing, but just in the last ten/ fifteen years did Katy get a huge boom.
Plus there is a Katy Proper and Katy area. Katy High School is in Katy Proper and Taylor High School is in the Katy area. In the 2000 U.S. census Katy had a population of 11,775 (according to Wikipedia). It is pretty neat to see that several famous people grew up in the same town.

OK, I can take this in two ways. You're either telling me that my English is not that good or CRHS really has a shortage of English teachers at the moment
Well, it's possible that my English is no5b4t correct all of the time because I'm not a native speaker. My mother tongue is German and I only was an exchange student at Cinco for one year. I'm always glad if somebody corrects my English because I'm still working on improving it

I went to Cinco ranch High School in Katy and it's true: there are a whole lot of very talented people down there!!! Intelligent people AND talented people. Plus, the majority of them is really nice!!!

Katy isn't that small. The older part of Katy is a little smaller, but Taylor High School is straight-up Houston suburbs. It's all just a few minutes from Houston, either way.
Adding to the list, Janeane Garofalo graduated from Taylor HS as well.

Renee's IMDB profile says she went to the school for performing arts, ALSO.

I graduated from Taylor and my world history teacher told us that she had Renee (O'Connor) in one of her classes. She knew Renee was going to be famous, so she had her autograph something before she graduated.

Wow, to cross paths with both, though to me thats a little more than just crossing paths, thats wild! lucky you! How old was ROC when you lived next door? Her mother seems like the nicest person, warm and friendly, was she? Ever met her brother Chris?

I happen to be a rare person who grew up in Katy and crossed paths with both Renees. I lived next door to ROC in Nottingham for about 9 years and went to the same church as the Zellwegers in "downtown" Katy. I was a few years younger than them both so we weren't friends or anything. In both cases I knew their mothers better than the eventual actresses. I've marveled at the coincidence extensively.
ROC actually went to HSPVA for her 10th and 11th grade years, but Taylor for 9th and 12th.
