I have scored my very first film deal with a producer who believes that the film is going to go very far. I am currently working on a shooting script and I am also directing the picture. The producer is going after mostly A-List stars, of course, but I believe Renee O'Connor is perfect for the female lead. I have only seen her on Xena, but I think she is an amazing actress and has the right look for the part I am considering for her. The producer wants to go after bigger stars but she's perfect for the role and I really want to convince him of that. I am more than willing to go out and buy every season of Xena on dvd, but what I want to know is what episodes best show off Renee's abilities Enough to convince my producer that she can carry this film.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I wonder what happened to the movie and if Renee got the part and if OP was successful with it

It also depends what sort of role you would like her for, because if it is a serious role you should show him "one weekend a month" it is a short film and the whole thing is improvised, there was no script, now that shows talent.Or secrifice part 1 or 2 because she plays two people at once.
If its more funny then "A Day In The Life" season 2 is very good.
good luck with the movie by the way.

Why don't you just get in touch with her agent? (Or get your producer to.)
Like any actress, I'm sure she has a "reel" which showcases what she and her management feel are her best scenes.

I'm sure Rene can play any role. These are my favourite episodes where Rene shows how good she is when acting:
Dramatic:
1x21 The Greater Good
2x20 The Price
3x07 The Debt II (the prison scene)
3x16 When in Rome
3x17 Forget Me Not
4x21 The Ides of March
5x01 Fallen Angel
5x09 Seeds of Faith
5x22 Motherhood
6x04 Who's Gurkhan?
6x05 Legacy
6x06 The Abyss
6x18 When Fates Collide
6x21, 6x22 A Friend In Need Part 1 & 2
Comedy:
2x15 A Day in the Life
2x22 A Comedy of Eros
3x10 The Quill is Mightier
6x19 Many Happy Returns
I've chosen more dramatic episodes because there were more dramatic episodes than comical ones in 'Xena'.
