I had a huge crush on her when Xena was on the air. Now, I like long hair on women and think short hair makes them look boy-ish. So naturally, I hated the pixie cut she got towards the end. What made me even more upset about it was, they changed her character. Gabby was the character you could easily fall in love with - sweet, charming, cute, the girl next door type but if she had to, she can handle herself. When they cut her hair, they also changed her outfit and her attitude. She was now an Amazonian warrior - not the Gabby I knew and loved.

I'm typically partial to long hair but Reneee is one of those women that look great either way I also thought she had a great body with remarkably great abs.. She must have worked out a lot to maintain that great figure..

Yep I liked them shorter too it made her look more grown up and the changes that her character was going trough, short hair helped to see her in a different perspective.

And there was that moment after Xena chakramed her hair and said something like, "I hope you like it" and Gabby replied, "YeahI wish I had had a say in it." That was super funny to me

i liked the short hair, but i felt the longer hair to be more versatile in a way. mostly i remember the episode where, if i remember correctly, she loses her memory, so joxer is trying to get her to remember by reading her own stories to her; and she asks joxer (regarding her infamous green top): in your stories, it seems to get smaller and smaller. is it enchanted?
fell right off my chair laughing at that one. can't wait to see 'bitch slap' to see what she'll give us next. and it'll be nice to see her paired up with lucy lawless again.

Didn't much care for the warrior Gabs with the Sais. There were plenty of warriors in the show, early Gabs filled the void of someone who could talk her way out of trouble, and was yin to Xena's yang. Gabs found a balance around season three when she had the staff, she did a bit of fighting but her core character remained.
I just got a little tired of her being continuously duped by religious zealots. All they needed to do was talk about peace and love and right away she was hooked!

To me she looks great just as always, even if she of course has aged, but we all do.
