I agree. I saw this great performance last week. I'm belatedly realizing that
this woman really is a good actress. Unfortunately, for beautiful (and blonde)
women like Gail, people tend to rush to judgement about their acting skills.
Actresses who look like her are often pigeonholed as decoration for some
leading man's arm, or cast as bimbos. After watching her very different
performance as a pyschiatrist on "CSI Miami" earlier this year, and then seeing
her just a few days ago on "Law and Order SVU," I said to myself "hey, this
lady is good!" I like to think of myself as a person who does not stereotype,
but I have to admit that in Gail's case, I didn't look closely enough at her
work in the past. Looking back, her "Donna Abandando" on "N.Y.P.D. Blue" her
was quite good and subtely shaded.
I look forward to more great work from this lady in the future.
