god I'd forgotten how much I love this film! Watched it countless times as a kid to the point where my ropey VHS recording virtually wore out!
Jack O'Halloran as Non was a proper cult character among my friends when we were youngabsolutely loved his childlike bewilderment and struggle to master the whole laser eye thing! Fantastic character
Still struggling to watch this scene where Clark Kent takes a beating after relinquishing his powers thoughhorrible. Thankfully he's hitch-hiking his way to the North Pole to sort it out now though
Top beardiness on Non too!

Mister O'Halloran, Non is one of my favorite movie villains. When I was a kid, I used to have nightmares that I was the guy trapped in the lunar lander while you were holding it down. Don't let that bother you. It's a sign of a good, scary character. Well played.

He probably forgot for a minute that he didn't have his super powers so it was just a natural reaction to the situation, or he just wanted to prove to Lois that he was still strong, even though he was now a mortal human being and not Superman anymore.

Come on!! The only person in a movie who deserved a beating more than Clark was Daniel LaRusso. (The Karate Kid) No matter how big of a jerk the guy is being, the first thing you do when you lose your superpowers is NOT ask a guy twice your size to step outside!!! Clark (literally) doesn5b4't know his own strength and how limited it is. If anything, Clark desperately needed that beating!!!!!
