Now I am going to be honest I love superman 1 and both superman 2 versions. However I really feel for Dick Lester the stick that bloke has got even now. I have heard Donner do commentary and he wont even mention his name I think that's 2000a disgrace and quite childish. Every cast member apart from maybe 1 or 2 has slated Lester so why come back to the film I really don't understand it. Its actually funny Im watching the making of superman now and there is actually proof where Donner said he would refuse to come back if Spengler comes back as producer. Yet according to Donner he said he really wanted to come back. Well he should have known full well that Spengler wasn't going anywhere with his connections to the Salkinds. The saddest thing most people are still slating Lester even though Lester has never ever came out to defend himself its like a bunch of bullies attacking a child. Its funny superman 2 was a huge success yet you wouldn't think that the way actors and actress acted.
