She probably has extremely poor chara111ccter judgment. If not, then she's likely impossible to get along with.
Think about it - what was the common factor in all of those marriages - her. Even she'd have to come to that conclusion. Say your first marriage was hasty and youthful. You didn't really appreciate the commitment and sacrifice it entailed, or the other half didn't.
So after a while, you decide to try it again, with someone else. However, this one doesn't work out either. You'd have to ask yourself; am I any good at this, at being married?
So you figure third time's the charm, and do it again. This one has to work. I've learned a lot, I won't make the same mistakes again, this time I'm sure. Then it fails too.

That was a good and accurate review. I just finished reading her book and was shocked over and over at how stupid she was with all her love affairs and marriages and what a bad, even criminally bad mother she was.

She's trying to fill some void, or metaphoric inner hole. She seems to have grasped some insight into the choices she's made. I think her quote (in part) "My need for love owned me", is brilliantly on point, and the best answer to my question.

She very well could be nice and/or worth knowing, but a personal relationship goes beyond all that.
