his very brief appearance in 24 as George Mason's son was superb in my opinion. after all this time, I still remember his scene. touching stuff.
for the most part, I think he's a victim of poor chosen roles. Currently love him for Marty Deeks, though I wish he would ditch, or at least tone down the grunge surfer-look.

he was good in dumb and dumberer and beerfest but the fired up atrocity of a movie was so horrible i dont think anything could have made the movie even remotely watchable i think even if they had neil patrick harris in it nobody could still bare to watch it

I actually think he's a decent actor. I liked him in 'Fired Up' but then again I have an unhealthy obsession with that movie. I don't know if you've seen him in 'NCIS: LA' He plays Marty Deeks and recently got a regular gig on the show. He's great i that. I was actually surprised with his acting. Knew he could do comedy but he's great at the heavier scenes too.
As for 'Not Another Teen Movie' or 'Dumb and Dumberer'. that wasn't hiss fault. Those movies were crap and you could have put Johnny Depp in those and they'd still suck.

Eric's a pretty good actor, especially if you consider some of the scripts he has to work with. I think he's really funny in Not Another Teen Movie and on The Loop. And his guest appearance on 24 and The Last Kiss showed he can do more than comedy.

I thought he was pretty good in The Loop as Sully sullivan, and wasn't too bad in Fired Up. I have seen him in other roles, and have seen him do alright, so I guess I do not agree that he sucks.
