But my GOODNESS I couldn't watch the video to "Better than You"  I think that's just my own awkwardness coming out though.<br />

<p dir="auto">I didn't expect to like Heather Peace's music, since she's said her main childhood influence was Michael Jackson, and that John Lennon was the inspiration for her white music room.  Nothing against either artist, but both are as mainstream and dated as you can get.<br />
Of course, the music itself can always surprise you even if the influences don't, and the sense of community and inclusion that Peace offers at her concerts is important in itself.<br />
And I do admire her courage in citing Michael Jackson, an artist whom she's well aware has been ridiculed by the press and nearly everyone else.<br />
