haven't yet seen season 6, stupid American tv would rather show another reality program. Anyways i was looking at stills for the season, and in whatever episode it is that he almost drowns in a tub, i think i saw a pic of something interesting and i want to make sure. They'd never show that on American tv if my eyes didn't decieve me, needless to ask did my eyes deceive me?

There wasn't much on show - i didn't even spot it on first watch (of course i rewinded!)! Not really that outrageous - well worth a watch though!

Yes, it was a penis and yes British TV show it and why not. Do you take a bath with shorts on ? Why do you refer to it as getting away with ? It's hardly a sin to show a man in a bath nearly dying.
P.S. If you want a better look at his tadger, check out Fatherland ;O)

I also live in the US, but have seen enough UK shows and films to know they do get away with more than most US networks (Showtime and HBO basically shows what the BBC can show post watershed hours).
I am trying to remember now what they showed in that episode where Adam nearly died, but what exactly are you asking? If the BBC can show more of a man's anatomy than US st5b4ations? Only if it happens after a certain hour at night. BBCFour showed some rather graphic scenes, along with the lady's breasts in full glory in the film The Chatterley Affair. Heck, even Joe's Palace had some scenes you wouldn't see out side premium cable networks.
