RPJ looked splendiferous in Whitechapel. It is a pretty gory series, a serial killer copying Jack the Ripper's murders with RPJ as the cop faced with catching him. I was struck how tall he is, mind you he was in shot with Phil Davies who is passing for a cop, and I think he must be struggling to reach 5ft 5ins.

I think he was fantastic in Whitechapel! Maybe you didn't like it because he didn't take his clothes of? ; )

I was disappointed with Whitechapel, both in the show and with Rupert Penry Jones in it. It was uninvolving and lacking in suspense, and he was bland when I usually like him.
Rupert Penry Jones was strangely and unattractively blank and emotionless around the eyes as well. It was either very odd make up (unlikely) or he has had botox or a skin tuck. Shame! But he must still be on a bit of a roll in the wake of "Spooks". Hope he gets something better soon.

I'm loving this new series too. It's nice to see ITV getting something right again, they have been panned for a lot of their other series
