Mr. Persoff is 91 years old and that means that he is taking care of himself. Meanwhile, this man is a good actor and I am glad to see over the years how much work he has gotten. He hasn't been in anything mainstream in 12 years so that means he's either retired, tired of Hollywood, or his age his helping him get ignored by Hollywood. Either way the man has had a long ass career and he I wish him the best.

I saw him in the Columbo TV film "Now You See Him" (1976?) where Jack Cassidy payed the murderer and Mr. Persoff played the victim. A superb actor in the brief time (at the beginning) where he appears. He's 94 now, and amazingly he is still alive and well.

One of the finest actors ever! Marvelous to watch in any role he's in.

Though I appreciate your sentiment, it's untrue that his age is necessarily due to him "taking care of himself". Although that may be part of his longevity, genetics pay a HUGE role in lifespan when you are as old as he is.
His lifestyle CAN contribute to not impeding his optimal outcome, but it is far from a given that he is doing so.
Just to clarify.

I'm glad he's still here, too.
I love Little Bonparte's speech to his fellow "Friends of Italian Opera".
Thank you, fellow opera-lovers. It's been ten years since I elected myself president of dis organization an' if I say so myself, you made duh right choice. Let's look at duh record: In duh lass fissel year we made a hundred an' twelve million dollars before taxes only we ain't paying no taxes!"
I remember him from the old
The Untouchables
series when I was just a kid.
"The night was sultry."

I'm glad to hear he is still with us and I hope in good health.
Watching "Some Like it Hot" on TCM right now and was looking up the cast, I had no idea he was still alive.
That's nice to know.:)
