I wrote a blog piece recently about Suzanne Pleshette. I grew up knowing her as Bob Newhart's cool TV wife.
But did you know she came from a theatrical family? Or that she studied acting with Sanford Meisner? Or that Dick Van Dyke originally asked Suzanne to play Laura Petrie?
Here's my blog piece about the eternally cool Suzanne Pleshette!

I also really loved watching this lovely lady and great actress growing up in
the 1960's until her unfortunate passing.
Not only, was she a beautiful lady, she was convincing in every role she
played. I just bought a full series DVD box set of "The Invaders." She was
just wonderful in a role of an alien who was experiencing emotions for the
first time (although her character did say that she and her "father" always
felt different even back on their home planet.) When her character was killed
at the end of the episode, it was just heartbreaking. And then, another
example, when she portrayed Leona Helmsleytotally convincing.
I really miss this classy lady.

Thanks for a really nice article and photos that show how similar Liz and Suzanne were. As I said in my comments after your piece, I loved them both and count their films as some of my all time favorites.
My favorite of Suzanne's films are:
Wall of Noise
Rome Adventure
A Rage To Live
40 Pounds of Trouble
If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium
I also loved her t.v. films of the 1980's and pretty much anything she lent her talent to.
She was one of a kind. I miss her still
Thanks again for keeping her memory alive.
