The Archive of American Television interviewed Pleshette in February of 2006. During the interview, she said she had written successfully for television under a pen name. She refused to divulge the pen name, claiming that she still used it. Was she beep If not, does anyone know the name? Here's the first part of the interview:

In Forty Pounds of Trouble, she portrayed a character by the name of "Chris Lockwood". But, I don't know if that has any significance.

I added a discussion to the "Talk" page on Pleshette's Wikipedia entry, and a person suggestedwhile admitting having no proofthat her pen name could be "Walter Lockwood." The person mentions that the dates and a few other things seem to line up, and that there's no substantial bio info for Lockwood.
When I hear the name "Lockwood," my first thought is of Singin' in the Rain. This makes me lean toward thinking it's a pen name. Whether or not it's Pleshette's pen name, I can't say. Anyway, it's more of a lead than we had, so it's worth pursuing.

I've wondered too. I assume she starred in the films she wrote? Maybe if you searched every movie she did post Newhart and see if there's any duplication of writers??
