I always thought the legal age law was made for kids them self, to tell them when they can start meeting other teens and having sex and that these creepy adults always used it as a loophole as the law does not state specifics.
Lets say you knew a man in his 30s who was trying to chat up 16/17 years olds, you think he is a creep right? Only you could not really do anything about it because it is legal.
