I thought his role in Grimlins 2 The New Batch was the real Grandpa munster from the Munsters. The reason I figured this out because I saw the bad news that he had past away this December '08 and The real grandpa died in 2006.

I thought he was Grandpa Munster too. Went here to see if anyone thought the same thing.
I watched the Munsters in reruns when I was young, and Gremlins 2 came out when I was 8.. totally thought they were the same person.
After looking at him and Al Lewis, they are kind of similar looking. The vampire outfit in Gremlins 2 just pushed it over the edge and combined them in our minds 🙂
