Loved him in his jeckyll/Hyde potrayal in Thief. The scene in the plating shop is fantastic. I will surely miss him. Mr. Prosky you were one of the best in movies. God bless you and R.I.P. Rich S.

I have never forgot the scene in thief where he is leaning over James Caan after forcing him to watch his partner (Jim Belushi) be dropped into a vat of acid give that speech of such evil. The camera is on the floor pointing up at him.
Those of you who loved this great man must see him in "Things change", for some reason it is a part of David Mamet work which never gets the attention it needs. William H. Macy plays a two line extra!
RIP

I couldn't agree more. Every production he was in was better for it (The Judge in The Natural comes to mind) but his performance in Thief is utterly chilling. According to the James Caan - Michael Mann commentary Robert Prosky was a little disturbed by the content of the scene at the plating shop. However the way he nailed(!)the scene made that movie. Frightening.
Great actor, great gentleman. He will be missed.
