The law of the internet right there. It doesn't matter if you made a few good films in your day, it doesn't matter if you prove capable of getting a solid performance out of your actors or that you can competently shoot a scene with style or flare. If you make a less than stellar enb68try in a popular franchise, you're the new Ed Wood. No one gave two beep who this guy was until X-men 3. Before that, everyone had a fun time with the Rush Hour movies and Red Dragon was a critically praised entry in the Hannibal series. but because he made X-men 3, he's on everyone's beep list all of a sudden.
Tower Heist is actually fresh on RT and Hercules is only one point away from being fresh. How bad can this guy really be? Fanboys need to get a grip, besides didn't Days of Future Past repair whatever damage he did anyway?

He comes off as an arrogant douchebag in a lot of his interviews, and seems to think he's a lot better than he honestly is, which makes it easy for people to hate him.
I agree he's not as bad as people say, being an X-Men "fanboy" who hated X-Men 3. But to me his only good movies are Rush Hour 1 & 2. The rest of his movies are terrible at worst and mediocre at best.

Hercules is a great example of a film with potential that was killed off completely by poor direction.
If this guy ever took lessons in filmmaking he didn't pay attention in film school!
Only money mad Hollywood employs people so awful.
How bad can he be? Terribad

There is no defending that movie, I never said he was perfect. But to be fair didn't he only direct a small part of it?

Fair enough, but what's the defence for movie 43?
