i've got quite a big family, mostly due to divorces, affairs etc of my grandparents. i found out a while ago that my grandma used to be married to amanda's dad, and my auntys are actually my half-auntys, with amanda being my half cousins half aunty too. confusing, i know. but i still find this weird, when i see her on tv and stuff and know that my cousin knows her as aunty mandy.

As aemawdsley has pointed out, theres no such thing as a half cousin or a half aunt. If your dad has kids with another woman, 111cthey are your half siblings, but the cousins or aunties they have on their mothers side has no biological connections to you, and will therefore not be your half cousins or a half aunties.

Well I completely forgot I posted this, and it's badly formatted, but okay.
Not 100% certain on the various meanings of 'once/twice removed', what would I use in this instance?
