My little dachshund Gus and I met Roger Rees in our NYC neighborhood several years back and spent time chatting on the street like old friends. I'm reminded of this because of tonight's airing of
The Prestige
(one of my all time favorite films), and it being Christmas Eve and my feeling nostalgic and thinking about how life should be lived and how we should treat each other accordingly. Roger Rees has not a pretentious bone in his talented body and was just another Hell's Kitchen neighbor taking a moment to share the beauty of our diverse community with a like-minded woman and her dog. I am blessed in having exchanged creative energy with him.
Apologies again, Roger, for stumbling over your last name momentarily after having followed your career for so long. But a rose is a rose
Merry Christmas.
Jackie & Gus

We felt the same way when we met RR through a mutual friend; what a charming, handsome man! He was so natural and easy-going in person, while being able to conjure so much intensity onstage. We were all so blessed to have these encounters with such a marvelous, talented man. I'm just sorry we didn't introduce our charming Welsh Terriers to RR.
Put puppy mills out of business: never buy dogs from pet shops!
