I remember seeing him on "Oz" for the first time in 20 years and wondering "How the hell did HE get here??!" I saw him in an English show like 20 years ago, it was some kind of relationship sitcom. I didn't take much notice of him then. Then he appeared in "Cheers" as well and I still didn't take notice of him. But when I saw him in "Oz" and then "Frida" I realized that he was a good actor. But don't you find it strange that he has been able to get so many roles in high profile films in Hollywood, after being virtually unknown in America for so long?
He's a late bloomer I guess, much like Gabriel Byrne and Liam Neeson.

I, too, think it's a shame that he's so unheard of here in the states. The guy is a classy, intelligent, and frankly, gorgeous man with heaps of talent and a greatda0 knack for comedic timing.

I first saw him in Robin Hood: Men and Tights, but he also was Fred in a Christmas Carol from 1984 starring George C. Scott.
