I'm not here to senselessly bash him, but I've watched quite a few interviews with Reitman, and he comes across as decreasingly likable in each one. Sometimes there are just certain kinds of people that exude douchebag qualities, regardless of whether you've actually seen them interact with other human beings. Well, that's basically how I feel about Jason Reitman.
Smug is an understatement.

Exactly my thoughts. He never knew how to fight for anything, he got everything instantly, with a silver spoon in his a$$. People like him think of themselves as demi-gods, who are above normal people.

I have to agree with OP, Reitman comes across as one of the most self-regarding people in Hollywood. The man appears to have very little modesty, and all the success of Juno went straight to his ego. I do think he's a competent director and with the right script he gives it room to shine, but no-one likes pretentious narcissists so please, Reitman, reel it in before everyone starts to hate you.

I kind of agree. There's just something about him I find unlikable and I don't really understand why. I don't think he comes across as very sincere. But I do enjoy his movies and I suppose that's all that matters.

Ok, lets say the guy turns out to actually be a prick like people on this message board like to think he is
Does it really matter? How would his being a prick affect your life any different then if he was some nice down to earth dude which I don't know what you would consider that to be.
Just curious, what difference does it make if the dude is the kind of guy who will walk into a theater and say "I have enough money to buy all the seats to see one movie can you screen 'let the right one in' for me now so I don't miss my production meeting tonight".
