I'm glad I saw him on stage in Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND with John Gielgud - superb (and they were both pretty old).

Agreed.Gielgud was far too plummy and overacted, Olivier was superb but Richardson had that deft touch and ability to inhabit a role. Wonderfully eccentric also!
