"I would read a chapter about how he did all this stuff
I would feel like I could conquer the world, then about 1 day later it was almost like I was back to reality and realized his stuff is mostly fluff."
If all you did was read about it, well that's the problem.
What you did is exactly like reading a book on engine repair and then claiming that it didn't work because your engine isn't fixed. If you don't actually do the work, how can you possibly expect any results???
TR teaches specific methods to take conscious control of your emotions, make decisions and get off your butt and do what you need to do in order to have the life you want. He gives people the tools to go from "I Can" to "I Am".

Yes and Robbins is a charlatan, but he's super positive and motivational.

and he has a foolproof clause for ensuring that he never fails. He often says that it is up to the person to achieve their best, and if the person still fails after buying his books, cd's, attending his expensive seminars, etc, then clearly it is not Robbins' fault, clearly it is the fault of the person for not "wanting it" enough
Definition of troll on IMDb - anyone who expresses a view different to mine.

Ignore Tony Robbins the scam-artist and think for yourself.
There, just saved you hundreds of dollars (btw, I never bought into that crap and never will).

Tony Robbins charges between $500 and $2600 for Diamond Premiere pricing for a 4 day seminar. All I can say is wow, looks like he gets a crowd, perhaps there's a cult.
I am going with a far more economical plan of using some DVD's that I bought off Ebay and should make a little when I'm done with the materials. It's helpful. But I know more than Tony Robbins about conditioning and diet as well as practice it, so I skip that part. The firewalking thing seems like silly gimmick. I can't imagine Tony Robbins can give financial advice that is superior to the experts, but perhaps he provides an overview of what to do.
It's a reasonable observation that Tony Robbins has sex with lots of women and likely cost him a marriage for that. Here's the deal: Tony Robbins doesn't say he's a faithful husband, he simply provides advice for those who want to improve their own relationships. I suppose one can call Tony Robbins a hypocrite for that, but I would be interested in a seminar on how to score with lots of chicks.
Stick to the core stuff with Tony Robbins, you aren't part of a cult. I am looking for what I can use, seems packaged and done better than most.

THANK YOU. I'm sick of people's cynicism about the motivation movement. Many people want to destroy potential leaders out of fear and self-loathing. I've heard Tony's seminars cost up to 300 dollars and not some of the four figure numbers advertised. In any case, if it works, it works, and Tony Robbins strikes me as a genuine man striving to give others happiness, and we shouldn't cut anyone like that down because of our own shortcomings.
The most important thing you need to know
Is that you don't know sh!t.

I was reading over all the comments regarding Tony Robbins on this thread and will give some input.
I am not a TR fanatic, I do however like him, and his programs. I purchased PP2 about 10 years ago and at the time I was in college and had a gpa of 2.3, I than graduated 2 years later with a 2.9 by getting motivated. I realize that isn't that huge a deal like being a millionaire but that was my focus at the time and it helped me stay focused. I inherited get the edge from my relative and she was missing a couple CD's and explained it to them and they were so very kind and are sending me the missing CD's which most companies will not do saying "too bad, you lost em not our fault" so I feel that since his staff has this kind of attitude that he must be sincere. Staff usually follow what the leader of a company does. The person also allowed me to get a free 47 page profile done since I told them I was bad off financially and I am right now.
At any rate, while much of what he says is regurgitation done a different way, the key here is that is his way of presenting that is effective and why shouldn't he? Too many people bashing him sound like they hate him for being successful. Do bare in mind that his success has given probably 50 million people that want to get coaching from him in one way or another it is simply impossible for him to personally see everyone. If anybody gets very successful that wasn't before they will see things aren't as rosy in t he sense that you want to spend individual time with people as much as y ou thought you could.
As far as costs.
I have the CDs and am guessing they cost around $200 per set. Perhaps now it is even $300 but you have 30 CD's in them and that is 10/CD not any more than any individual CD you would buy for anything in any store so stop whining about the cost. You see it takes money to produce these, package them, and when he makes them he is spending countless hours in a studio working his arse off so he should get rewarded financially. He even says time and time again that the best way to get wealthy is to take something you love that will help others and do it massively. That is exactly what he has done, and guess what? He is very wealthy. In fact, if some of you think he is some hypocrite, he does a lot of charity work and feeds over 2 million families now through his foundation so give the guy a break. It isn't like he would need to do that for people to think very highly of him.
I never have been to a big seminar event. I am to assume the flight it up to you to pay but am guessing that they provide you room and board and food. If I am wrong and anyone who has actually been to his events please correct me.
But again I believe by far the most expensive one he does is a 7 day $5000-$6000 event. It is probably in Hawaii or Fiji or some other exotic place. for this he probably gets maybe 2000 people so call it 10 million dollars for 1 week of his seminars. Big rock bands probably make $3 million dollars for doing a show at a 50,000 seat stadium for 2-3 hours, this is for 1 whole week.
This would be around $800/ day for what I imagine are 14 hour days.
People pay $200-$300 for a 2-3 hours basketball game or 2-3 hour concert to see someone live. Well, $100 usually even for the worse seats. So this is 5 times the amount of hours per day and in a 2-3 hour period you are paying only $100-$125 so again this really isn't that outrageous when you really do the math. Also consider the cost for him to rent out places in the most exotic places in the world can't be cheap. The cost they do to produce all the lights, sounds, and everything else cuts into profits. If he in fact gives you room and board and even food, that really cuts into it pda0lus I am guessing that when they have you do these things where everyone goes and does certain things I imagine his trained coaches take smaller groups of people and motivates them, and these coaches aren't cheap.
Now why would someone go t a live seminar when they can just listen to tapes or read books? As opposed to only doing what is on CD or tape or in a book?
I would ask anyone this question. Lets say you like the Beatles or today maybe you would go see some famous rock stars or even the symphony. well, you can see them on TV all the time, listen to every song or piece they ever have done in the comfort of your own home where noone can bother you on a high quality player. Why do you go see them perform live? Well it is because being live there is a major difference, there is nothing like it. You are there with them, you are with lots of other people that are all there together for the same thing and the energy in the room/arena etc.. just magnifies your experience many fold.
Or why do people go watch star wars on the big screen every 10 years when they bring it out in droves when they all have the DVD's? or other big movies?
Well, because there is nothing like seeing it on the big screen and bei
