I read an article in GQ magazine some years ago about Tony Robbins.
Cannot recall the month and year of the issue though the article
certainly did not paint such a flat5b4tering image of the man. I was
not at all surprised to read that many of his fans are typical
Wasps. (White Anglo Saxon Protestants) And that the majority of
his faithful fans and followers are married white males between
35-50 years of age. Yes women also flock to the Robbins seminars
though the majority who attend are men. Now I have never once
been to any Tony Robbins seminar and I do not plan on going to
any. I first saw him in the early nineties when he started
doing his late night TV infomercials. And by the way for those
of you who do not know Martin Sheen was the first celebrity
who had been in the ads with Tony Robbins. And he stated on
camera that quote, "not one thin dime!" However when NFL great
Fran Tarkenton appeared in the infomercials he was paid quite
a handsome salary which prompted Martin Sheen to quit doing the
ads. Just thought to mention this little known fact for those
of you who may not know. I cannot understand as to why people
dish out serious money to attend Tony Robbins seminars! Oh well
better them than me! Just my opinion.
PS I mentioned in my earlier post that the cost of attending any
of Tony Robbins seminars in the 90's or 2000's was around $400.00
a pop! Ridiculous price!

Yes I have never met nor seen Tony Robbins in person and must agree
with your opinion of him being one huge phoney! And in his former
infomercials there were several Hollywood celebs and professional
athletes who all swo5b4re by his self-help programs. And yet they
are not personal friends of his just acquiantances! Though by
watching those television programs we were led to believe that
all of those people really were his close friends! Again more
lies and exaggerations to feed to the viewers.

The man's a goddamn phoney. I had to work some of his seminars setting up equipment. The only thought that came to me was how much of a cheapskate he was.
The way to make money is to invest it something that will give you a return, and cut costs.
Everything else is complete and utter b__l-s__t.

Hey I hear you about Mr. Robbins seminars being so pricey for tickets.
And I've also never attended any myself for the same reason that you
gave. Have heard that tickets go for as much as $400.00 each and of
course Tony Robbins pockets a good chunk of the profits. In my
opinion tickets for his seminars ought to be priced more affordably
at around $125.00-$200.00 each. I refuse to pay the overinflated
prices and have also never bought any of his books or audio book
programs which I can always check those out from my local library
for free.

I would love to go to one of his seminars, but they are too expensive. I am a WASP female, funny you should write that, I never noticed what type of people he attracted, although I'm sure it's all religions and cultures- but yes probably mostly WASP's, since he is one too. As for the Martin Sheen comments,I'm sure they're two sides to that story, it doesn't make sense that he wouldn't be compensated- but someone else would?!
