Just read the breaking story of how some people at an event Tony Robbins was hosting in San Francisco were severely burned when they tried walking on some hot coals. Can't believe people would be that stupid enough to even give it a try.

Honestly, I have never heard of the guy, but I have to say that these sheeple who get so caught up in this nonsense don't quite elicit a lot of sympathy from me. I don't want anyone to be hurt or burned, but come on! Common sense folks! According to the article, they have been doing this sort of thing for years, and always had medical staff and such to handle any incident. Well, that right there tells me that you risk being burned. I wonder if lawsuits will erupt from this incident?
Can someone explain this whole thing about walking on hot coals? I don't quite understand the point of risking burns as self-improvement. I am not doubting this age old ability, but I just don't get how this guy can persuade crowds of people to do it. In my mind, I imagine that one person wasn't mentally prepared to do whatever it is one has to do to accomplish this, and their screams of agony caused a break in concentration in others, who were then burned as well.

I was just reading the article and thinking-wow that guy looks familiar. Being a fan of this movie I looked him up knowing the guy in the movie was a speaker of some kind and of course it was him. This guy needs some serious help. What's next? Skydiving without parachutes?
