I thought he looked like the kid in "The Boy who Could Fly" and / or the older brother in "The Last Starfighter" but I haven't looked them up to compare yet.

I think he looks like a young Tom Hanks (especially in That Thing You Do). I actually read that Tom Hanks cast him in the movie because his wife (Rita Wilson) took a liking to him because of how much she thought he resembled Hanks.

It is funny about this thread because I too thought he looks someone who was a child actor all grown up but it isn't any of those you all metioned. In a weird way, considering it nowI am thinking that it is McCaulay Culkin! It's a wide nose thing, maybe. Weird thoughI am not alone in pondering this.

I thought for sure that he was the guy from "Big", who played young Josh. Imagine my surprise when I found out he wasn't. LOL.
He looks a lot like Tom Hanks, too. Some of his mannerisms in "That Thing You Do!" seem to emulate Tom Hanks, as well.

He definatley looks a ton like David Moscow in Newsies, Big. I just saw "because i said so" with my friends and we all thought he resembeled David M. 7ec i kept having to do a double take.

Um yeah he is the spitten image of David Moscow (Newsies and Big) and Hugh Dancy (Ella Enchanted). LIke I honestly thought they were all the same person.

I agree, when I saw him for the first time in an episode of Will and Grace, I was like, omg, is that John Mayer! but then i looked at him cloesly and realized he wasn't, but the resemblance is surely striking!!

K, call me weird, but I thought he looked like David Moscow, a bit. but who he really looked like to me (at least in That Thing You Do), was Kirk Cameron. if I just saw a picture, I would have to convince myself otherwise.
