I come from the town next to where T.E. Scott comes from and let me tell you, he is a local hero. Sure he has a stellar acting career, but people don't really realiz all the good he did back home. He was the first person to pull off a 900* spin at the East Bridgewater Skate Park, he was solely responsible for putting Star Market, an evil grocer, out of business, and finally, he saved a drownding child at the YMCA's Camp Satucket. I saw him one time and asked why he has done so much for everyone in the community and he responded, "It's just that thing I do". Good man. Good man.

I'm from E.B. too. He was supposed to come to my graduation (class of 2000) and speak, but he no showed. I never heard of all that stuff that the OP said he did, maybe its true, maybe not. Start Market did suck though.

hahaTom is one of my favorite actors and while I don't know him as a person he's always given me the impression (through interviews) that he's a nerd wrapped up in a hunky package

Hi. Yes, I'm sure they were kidding. You know, I think most have to change their names due to the number of people in the Screen Actor's Guild. I don't know how it works, but I know it is sticky if two performers use the same name. I know he hates to be called Thomas. In fact, I'm not so sure his name is Thomas. It may just be Tom or Tommy. I also know there is a jazz musician by the name of Tom Scott who is pretty famous.

That first poster sounds like a real jokester.
Nice that he kept his real name. Do many actors even adopt stage names anymore?

I read somewhere once in an interview that he uses "Everett" for a beloved uncle. I think there was an actor in the guild already using the name Tom Scott. Seems like Everett wasn't his actual middle name.
