I recently purchased the 1984 film 'SUMMER FANTASY'. Personally, I thought John should have played Jackson, instead of Stuart Callahan. He would have made a better love interest for Judy Phillips (the first Mrs. Bruce Springsteen, who played the lead character in this film). Ironically, he would play her love interest a decade later. Judy starred in the 1990s NBC drama series 'SISTERS'. Shipp played a hunky boxer named Lucky, who was in love with Judy's character.
