I never post about how bad someone is, but he is just the worst. I really wanted to like One Wet Hot American Summer, but the movie is just bad. It's poorly constructed and not funny. It started off alright, a camp comedy has lots of potential. Then like halfway through the movie it decided to be a parody. And not a carefully orchestrated clever parody, but random sh*t spoofing different genres. The whole asteroid thing was stupid and then garofalo and the other guy running into the house knocking things over. It's not clever or funny, it's dumb. There's more plot and character development in an episode of Family Guy than in One Hot American Summer and They Came Together. The only parts I "laughed" at were a result of Paul Rudd's ability to deliver an amazing comedic performance. People on here ask how he hasn't gotten more work. It's because he's not a good writer. Nothing he writes can be taken seriously. One Hot American Summer had such great potential but it was very disappointing.

The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions.
By the way, there's no ' One ' in the title of the film you're referring to, Zippy.
P.S. The first syllable of your handle is a good fit for you.

It's perfectly clear that I'm talking about Showalter. Paul Rudd is only mentioned once, as I was stating that his ability to deliver a great comedic performance makes up for the weak writing. I talked about how poorly they're written. Showalter is the writer. Not sure how you thought I was talking about Paul Rudd. If you found that confusing, I suggest you avoid reading authors like Kafka and stick with your Goosebumps.

No one on here is asking how Paul Rudd hasn't gotten more work. Or were you talking about Showalter? Your own writing is so unclear it's hard to tell what you're talking about.
