Well actually, Muslim is not a race, it's a RELIGION. There are People from all over the world, Serbs, Egyptians, Pakistanis, and Africans just to name a few, who follow this barbaric cult. So where in the world do you get RACISM from? Religion hater, YES and I am not singling out Just ONE religion, they all are ridiculous.
As for my parents, my mother died a long time ago, religious beliefs killed her. So I know what I am talking about.

In my experience, a Godparent is who looks after the child if the parents die. But I guess maybe some people view it with something extra.

Godparent is supposed to be like a spiritual mentor/advisor for your child, although in this day and age it really doesn't have that much meaning. It's more of an honor you bestow on a close friend after the birth of a child. Sort of like naming a best man or maid of honor at a wedding. There is no real meaning other than sentimental.

No religion exists in the world that says kill and get sex because no one would even believe it (and by the way, muslim females seem to be only females who wear full clothing, unlike everywhere else where girls dress up as sluts and pieces of entertainment.. no? now decide what type of people are into sex and what type of people protect their women, dont judge a religion by few extremists - same for christains, if you aren't one, you know nothing about them)

I cant say that I disagree with all of your viewpoints, but your choice of religious beliefs was not really the intent of my original post. The point I was trying to make is that you could have answered the person's question without being so condescending. And, all you managed to do is answer my post is the same manner.
Im not going to try and change your mind, and Im not even going to try and debate the religious issues with you; however, I will tell you that should treat people with a little more respect. Your comment was just a little condescending dont you think. Since you are obviously not Muslim, and by your comments I think it is safe to assume that you are Christian. Please correct me if Im wrong there. I myself am Christian- Protestant. Dont you think it is extremely un-Christian like to persecute or otherwise belittle someone for his or her religious beliefs? No. AMERICANS do NOT give all their money to a godchild if they die childless. It goes to the FAMILY.
Godparent is just religious nonsense, and perhaps sentimental to those who follow the traditions without having a real connection to a church, but still want to have someone to care for the child should something happen to them and have no family of their own.
It may have started one way, but in this country, in this day, it rather means nothing.
