This is such an old thread, but I'm responding anyway as MSU is my Alma Mater :).
Molly did go to Vanderbilt, but she grew up in Murray and graduated from Murray High School in the early 90s ('91, I believe). She does go home around the holidays, but is not seen that often.
Side note: W. Earl Brown is also from Murray and he goes home fairly often and is usually out and about during the holiday season. Nice guy - very personable.

I'm from Murray also and I do know Molly Sims went to Vanderbilt. My mom, sister and brother-in-law have seen her at a local restaurant, she was in for one of the holidays visiting her parents. (Thanksgiving, I think, might have been Easter, not sure which one though.) By the way, Murray State is a really good college. It consistently gets high ratings. I going to start attending Murray state next week and I have already participated in college activites. Murray State is a great school!

I've been through Murray so I know that it's pretty small, but I'm comfortable in a small town because my town used to be small (it's getting bigger, sadly) and it was so quaint. We're a small town with a college too. I don't know if you've heard of Valparaiso University, the Valpo crusaders. Our town seems to be getting all the bad Chicago kids because they're bringing their kids here since it's a really good school system and then they blame all us locals for being bad kids when it's generally their kids who are bringing about the trouble. Like recently (thanksgiving weekend), a kid from a bad town that's a suburb of Chicago as well (name of the city is Aurora) went and pulled out a 24 inch machete and an 18 inch tree-saw and attacked his first hour spanish class. The kids were okay and only a few were cut up but it was still pretty scary. Especially since they didn't tell us anything. We were in lock-down for four hours and luckily we had a half day. I ended up finding out that the incident took place in my spanish room except I'm not in there until 4/5th hour. But I've considered Murray but I'm hoping to get into Notre Dame. If I don't get in though I'll be fine. Cause I've got a list of about five other schools I could go to and get into. Like IUPUI. I love that school's name. It's so funny.

Oh your welcome! I am still pretty positive that Molly never went to Murray St1354ate, but who knows! Good luck with Notre Dame! If you are considering Murray at all, its a nice place. I have no idea where you are from, but Murray is a small town, and I have lived here my entire life. I did want to move away for college but when the time came, I just couldn't seem to move away from here! I love it so much! but anyways, if I had the grades to go to Notre Dame I might have done that instead, but Murray is a great place!

I meant to reply to this sooner but whatever. Thanks for clearing that up for me. There's a reason I think my cousin is lying though and it's basically because he's a big dork(still love him though) who has always been one to lie or come up with crazy schemes. I guesse that shows where I get it from. My cousin wants me to go to Murray so who knows what kind of lies he's tell me to get me to want to go there but I really want to go to Notre Dame and I've got the grades to do it. Although at easter when he comes out to visit his dad and my family and his brothers I think I'll tell him that I'll consider going there if he buys me a Murray hoodie. That way on college shirt day I can be the only one wearing a Murray shirt because I live in the area of Purdue, IU, and Notre Dame. Again thanks for clearing that up for me.

hey! to answer your question.. molly didnt go to murray state she went to vanderbuilt. I am from murray and am currently attending murray state. maybe your cousin did see her at that place on campus b/c she does come to murray occassionally, although i have never seen her, everyone else that i know has
