If you're fifty or older this might resonate more. I tend to lean more towards Ted but Rick ain't no slouch. They are peers in terms of age and they've likely have spent time in each others company. Seeing Springfield cast in the Streep film it made wonder about the production company's list of guys they considered for the role. Nugent's name popped up and the response was hell to the no!
Anyways who is the crowd favorite of the moment.

Ugh. Just seeing Ted Nugent's name in the same sentence as Rick's made me throw up in my mouth a little. Rick is extremely talented and more than a pop music musician. Ted Nugent has become (maybe always has been) a despicable cretin, politics aside. He's just a revolting person. That's all I'll say about him other than I hope to never see/hear their names in the same sentence again. Puke.

Nugent's a better lead guitar player hands down. Very good, improvisational, soulful. Rick has the pop song hooks though. The lead guitar work on his major hit albums was actually done by Pat Benatar's husband, producer and bandmate, Neil Giraldo. Rick's got a few good songs in him and he made a new one with David Grohl on Sound City.
I don't think Nugent can be considered an actor. He talks and talks and talks, but after seeing Rick in Riki and the Flash, I concur, his acting chops are quite good.
I don't really see the comparison between the two, but that's my take, politics aside, of what I think. I give Nugent Rock god status and I give Springfield power pop hero status.
