I was at the cafe next door to the Papp Theater one night when he was exiting that building.
I am ethnic myself and have always garnered the attention of other "ethnic" gay types because of my mix.
He saw me and started being very friendly.
I had to leave but congratulated him on his role in "Take Me Out."

Not having any discriminatory thoughts or derogatory comments about a person's sexual orientation, I did have the same question about Daniel Sunjata. Not because he "looks gay" as someone suggested, and I don't know him personally so I can't say he behaves in anyway homosexual as another person suggested. However, I did notice within his resume is a handful or more of gay characters. Of course if he were gay it just demonstrates his talent as an actor to play Franco Rivera on Rescue Me as convincingly as he does. In the end I can say with total certainty that I am not gay and Daniel Sunjata is a gorgeous man and a very good actor.

I'm a huge fan of rescue me, and if I saw this question a couple of days ago I would've said that it was highly unlikely. But I saw the special features on the rescue me dvds last night, and I have to say, I think he might be gay. it's just something in the way he talks in the interviews on the dvds and the way he behaves in the outtakes.
I know that it's stupid to guess based on so little but that's just the vibe I got.
anyway, it would be hot if he was! I'm a straight girl, but to me, there's nothing hotter than guy on guy action when they're as sexy as he is.

I would hate to think that - but then people are often too quick to stereotype an actor if he plays a role other than what he is expected to play.
I saw Daniel in The Devil Wears Prada, and although his character would naturally tell you he is gay, I caught myself thinking - "Wow what a sensuous pair of lips" and when he smiled and I saw those divine dimples I will say no m1908ore.

Y'all, don't get your panties in a bunch about cosetto's question. Just click on his name and you'll see that just about every question he posts at any actor's page asks this same exact question, and is followed by a poorly spelled "defently looks like" comment. I'd say it "definitely looks like" this person is obsessed with questioning people's sexuality.
Dan is not gay. As for what one person said about him having to be a "flaming liberal" because of things that he's said about GWB, it doesn't take a flaming liberal, or a flaming anything else to see what a moron GWB is.

Maybe he's just gay friendly. I found it interesting that he took part in a public television program called "In The Life" which is a program featuring gay issues.

He's not gay. The articles about Take Me Out when it opened on Broadway noted that there was only one gay actor in the cast, and it wasn't him.
