<p dir="auto">For the record, Carl did NOT appear in the 1936 film "Ellis Island", as his IMDB credits say. I had bought that film a few years back assuming he would be in it, but, he was not. At all. &amp; It was a horrible movie.</p>

<p dir="auto">Yes, that is Switzer playing Freddie Othello, the student who opens the the gymnasium floor to expose the swimming pool.  The part was uncredited onscreen, but it is him and the credit is listed in his IMDb filmography.</p>
