I just saw Russ as Norman Page in Peyton Place, and I thought he was so incredibly adorable! He has such great talent, it's amazing! I really enjoy watching Russ perform; he has become one of my favorite actors!

I really wish Norman was in the movie more. The Norman/Alison love story was HEAPS better than any of the others and deserved more scenes! Russ totally stole my heart in Peyton Place

I thought I was the only one! Russ Tamblyn was so cute in Peyton Place! I loved the allison/norman storyline the most because it was the most adorable and sweet storyline. And he is so hot when he is in the army! Although I do wish they would have put more in the allison/norman story like maybe a kiss when they meet in the train or something but I am buying solely because of russ tamblyn being so cute in it!

He was a great actor. It just seems like after West Side Story he didn't get the many good roles he should have and was basically wasted by Hollywood. A shame with the talent had.

You guys are SO right!!! I LOVE Russ and just saw "Peyton Place" for the very first time (I knew he was in it, and that caught my interest)..and can I just say, he WAS adorable! I couldn't take my eyes off him! His aching confusion and vulnerability just tears at your heart. I only wish his role was as big as Diane Varsi's so that I could have seen more of him.
..and I agree: when he comes back from the service..the way he acted on the train..at first I got scared that he had turned into an obnoxious over-confident menace. His whole body language was so different from the Norman that left..but thank God, it was just Russ' exceptional illustration of how one insecure teen-ager came home a (more self-assured) young man. My God..he is so under-rated, imo, as an actor/dancer/singer. He should have definitely won SOMETHING in his career..but at least his nomination for this role is an acknowledgement by the powers-that-be that he definitely had/has the chops.

I saw him in that too and I just fell in love! I liked how his character turned out in the movie rather than in the book. And wasn't the scene on the train to die for?! I loved seeing the transition from nervous mama's boy to confident man. Very cool!
It's different to see him in a drama, but he pulls it off beautifully. He totally deserved the Oscar nom. It's a shame he didn't get any more. Glad I'm not the only one in "love"!
