I've read how Terry-Thomas played a lot of Dishonest John, dastardly cad characters in the movies and, aside from Sir Ware-Armtiage in "Those Magnificent Men", what was his best (or rather, worst) role in this vein?

I haven't seen 'Where Were You When The Lights Went Out' yet. I don't like the name of his character in that film. Ladislaus Walichek. Hardly British old boy. How dastardly.

Probably WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT? [1968]. Terry-Thomas acted rings around everyone in that film.

I liked him as Lord Henry in 'The Naked Truth.' He is the typical caddish toff in that one. But he grabs the viewer's sympathy in this film. Great movie.
