Jay Pharoah has shown to be an excellent new addition to SNL. At least he can act/sound like people other than himself and not constantly have a sh*t eating grin on his face.
Kenan's days on SNL are numbered and I'm pretty sure he knows it. I bet he was hinging his employment on the fact that he was the only black guy on the show.

none of the white actors are funny, and only got where they are cause they're white. and it's been 5 years since this post was made so he's still making money. very telling how people are making fun of him for being a token, instead of speaking out against the show for only allowing 1 black person at a time aka tokens, yet giving any mediocre white actor the time of day
i've got feelings too, ya know - inbetweeners

Yes he has, and he's actually made laugh. Something I can't recall Thompson ever accomplishing. It's gotten to the point where I FF through his bits cus I know they're gonna suck.
(former poster was right, Sasheer Zamata is a looker. and I like her so far.)

Like I said, if Kenan isn't gone he will be by mid-season.

They are going to hire a black woman and Kenan is out of there. She'll be a looker too. Really, he should have been gone 4 or 5 years ago. He knows it.

Sad to say, but yeah, he simply was a token. Unfortunately, he wasn't one that tried to work hard and open doors for other African-American comedians, instead he skated by based off his Nickelodeon fame.

You are spot on, MrBook
I don't have a clue why SNL decided to keep this guy. He is a one-trick pony all the way. One dimensional. Even Finesse Mitchell knew how to get into character.
When I saw Jay Pharoah do his impression of Will Smith on the Weekly Update, I knew he had the spot locked in.
