After seeing her performance as Colonel Mann on "NCIS", it struck me that she would be the perfect actress to portray the Kay Scarpetta character from the novels of Patricia Cornwell. I wish someone would make a movie of the book "From Potter's Field", which is one of the best Scarpetta books.

That was the best book. A Scarpetta movie featuring Susanna Thompson, that's a movie (or tv series) I would watch!
