It was hard watching it with the sometimes wooden, mostly over acting character of Judith in "The Book of Daniel". As the two lead characters, they don't seem to go together, with Judith's snobbish overacting doesn't even seem plausible in this family. The way thompson's character looks and acts alongside Quinn's character, you wonder how they would even have gotten married; She reminds you more of the mother on "arrested development", than a mother on this show.

I have to disagree with your assesment of Thompsons acting she is one of the strongpoints of the show and her acting always seems sublime never over the top.I hope NBC hangs in there with this show it's funny and whitty with maybe a lil over the top thrown in.
