Keeping us guessing about Goodman's character until the very end was truly masterful, and an absolute delight in how it all played out.

They packed so many interesting and exciting situations into a single tiny little set, it's truly astounding.

While the third act doesn't hold up as well as the rest of the movie (which seems to be mostly the fault of the producers than the writers/directors from what I've read) I was also blown away by 10 cloverfield lane. From what I had read I was of course expecting a decent thriller, but I was not prepared to be as on the edge of my seat as I was during it. It's directing was outstanding which makes it blow my mind to see that it was his first feature-length film. Incredible that somebody can have such a command of the action right out of the gate, hopefully he can keep it up.
