Love this guy as Van Helsing in Dracula. He played that part with great conviction and authority.

I notice horror buff and author the late Denis Gifford refers to him as "..old Van Sloan" in Dracula when he was in fact 48. Like David Manners, a rather unsung Universal classic monsters hero
