I think Vanity and Prince were in a relationship from 1980 to 1983. Susan Moonsie from the Vanity 6 had an on and off relationship with Prince from about 1980 to 1985. After the 1999 tour in 1983 backup singer Jill Jones moved to Minneapolis and became Prince's on and off again girlfriend. In 1984 Prince began a close relationship with Susannah Melvoin, twin sister of Revolution guitarist Wendy Melvoin. Prince had an affair with Sheila E. around the same time. That guy really got around.

Well I do know for a fact (from Denise interview) she was doing drugs during her hey days with Prince but perhaps didnt get intense till she hooked up with her rocker dude.
Thanks for clarity on them dating (both of you) ~ because after looking back to that whole Apollonia deal I started to question the so called relationship he had with Vanity. Especially since neither went on to claim they were an item it was just lead to believe from them hanging out and publicity photos. I still shocked to believe her (as his new girlfriend) working side by side with his ex Susan. Which is why I questioned that.

Your all wrong, Vanity and Prince did date. She left Prince to go to Motown. Appolonia and Prince dating was the publicity stunt. It is referenced in Heroine Diaries that Prince tried to get back with Vanity. Also Vanity did not get into the crazy hard drugs until she went solo, hence her career stall.
