I just watched Family Man for the first time ever and I couldn't believe how cute she was in it. Even at her young tender age at 5-6 you could see that she has the "it" factor in her performance. For an actor, you either have "it" or you don't and she certainly does. She had the cutest big round eyes and tiny little face in Family Man and she reminded me a bit of Dakota's Lucy in I Am Sam. Makenzie's later performances only solidify the statement that she has something about her that makes her stand out from all the other child actors. It's a shame she's not big yet, but hopefully she'll stick around into adulthood and time will catch up to her to make her one of Hollywood's sought out actresses.
how cute was she in Family Man though?!

Typically kids grow out of their lisps around 7 or 8.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

What happened to her lisp? Was that done for the part or did she really have one and correct it as she got older with speech therapy?

Yup, she was incredibly cute, all right. Not as cute as Tea Leoni, but . . .
Well, that's a different kind of cute altogether.
